Stokes Baldock designed and built this suburban garden in Kent. Our clients had recently extended and renovated their family home.
The brief was to design a family, friendly, contemporary garden, using classic contemporary materials and a simple, yet stylish layout. Two spaces were created for relaxation and entertaining. The main patio is a much larger space for dining and entertaining and the second smaller patio creates a more secluded area with seating and a fire pit.
We used Brett Eden Limestone porcelain paving in Fawn, to create subtle and soft textures, with a low maintenance and hard-wearing finish. The clay pavers add areas of interest and detail.
Either side of the garden Venetian fencing lined with evergreen pleached trees, create beautiful borders and privacy.
The design also incorporates a large area of lawn for the children to play, three raised sleeper vegetable beds, a path leading to a future garden building, a contemporary Corten steel bird bath and a beautiful terracotta beehive water feature.
At the end of the garden a Venetian panel and three olive trees and hydrangea created a beautiful focal point from the house.
